Imperial Guard

I began building my guard army just before the release of the new codex. The last time I actually played 40k in any of it’s incarnations was some time in the 90’s when rogue trader was all I had access to. Due to my lack of knowledge about the rule set, I just began building whatever the hell I wanted and have spent the last 6 or 8 months actually trying to fill out the ranks of my troops and build a cohesive army.

some of the army

I was mostly influenced by Andy Hoare’s IG army in the 40k 5th edition rulebook, and the Dan Abnett novels. I liked the urban-ish, realistic-ish looking paint scheme and the superfluous helmet goggles of Andy’s army, so I decided to rip him off . I also like the old school Adeptus Arbites but didn’t want to buy overpriced Necromunda mini’s, so made some of my own.

The Arbites…

still some stuff to do

Closer to being done…
